Maintaining my Ashtanga practice during my two pregnancies was the best thing I could have done for myself and my growing baby, and in preparation for childbirth.
Life
is different now, and I find that for the most part, spending my days with
my family is my practice.
I do still manage to get on my mat as often as possible - sometimes with
my son and other times on
my own. Sharing yoga with children is powerful; they watch us practice
while establishing their
own, and sharing breathing
techniques can help everyone relax and heal.
