Kirtan is
part of an ancient form of yoga know as Bhakti, or the
Yoga of Devotion. Devotion is a highly spiritual emotion implying
supreme trust. Devotion is when we abandon all doubts to proceed
forward in friendship, apprenticeship or love, it is a form of giving
that breathes life into the heart and inspires grace and well being.
During Kirtan we are given the opportunity to immerse ourselves in
nothing else but devotion. There is no right or wrong way to sing Kirtan.
We use the strength of one another to give ourselves permission to
release and express our own prayers for health, happiness, well-being
and continued love and kindness towards ourselves, the world, friends,
family and the community that surrounds us. We look
forward to sharing in this offering with you.
