Chris Rubin, 200 RYT
Chris began the practice of Ashtanga Yoga in 1999, but it was not until 2016 when she had to quit drinking and find sobriety that her yoga practice truly began. Through the struggles of that year and the day it finally came to make the choice to start anew—yoga was an anchor and her mat a home.
Through running and practicing nearly every day, Chris has found that breath, movement, and meditation opened the door to the gifts the practice brings to the mind, body, and spirit. She completed her 200 Intensive and Teacher Training in February of 2019. What started out as an opportunity to deepen her personal practice grew into a desire to share the life changing benefits of yoga with anyone open to stepping on the mat. She believes yoga is the answer to any of life’s problems or at least a starting point, just ask her! Chris lives in York Maine with her husband, two kids, and dog Maggie.
