Kimberly Dahlmann, 500 E-RYT
Kimberly has been a student of Meditation and Yoga since 1994. In 1999 Kimberly met Nancy Gilgoff and began dedicated practice in the Ashtanga Yoga system. She began studying under the guidance of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in 2000, making annual trips to receive his teachings, both in the United States and traveling twice to Mysore India. Kimberly completed primary, second and the Advanced A & B series under the guidance of Nancy. In addition to receiving traditional practice in Ashtanga Kimberly has studied extensively with many gifted teachers, including Donna Farhi, Eddie Modestini, Nicki Doane and Bhavani Maki. She has spent the last 5 years studying in the Iyengar tradition with Kofi Busia where she has discovered a deeper understanding of the healing potential of Yoga. Kimberly's meditation practice is guided by the Aghor tradition and her relationship to Baba Harihar Ramaji of the Sonoma Ashram.
Kimberly brings compassion, integrity, sensitivity and a deep commitment to her students and the community of Yoga East. She has a gift in working with students individually to help foster a greater level of understanding of the healing potential through the practice of yoga. As a teacher, her humility allows students to develop their practice with a level of confidence, self reliance and inner joy. In the classroom, she intuitively guides the body with strong hands on adjustments, penetrates both the interior and exterior alignment of the body through clear communication, and individualizes the practice to meet each student where they are. As the founder and director of Yoga East she is committed to offering a gentle and compassionate space within community and preserving the tradition of Yoga that has been shared with her.
