Michelle Verdi, 200 RYT
The seeds for Michelle's yoga journey were planted by her parents when she was a child. Her Mom practiced yoga on PBS, and Michelle would follow along. Michelle's Dad meditates and prays daily, and encouraged her to "slow down, be still, and breathe." Because she was a highly active kid, her parents encouraged movement and enrolled her in dance at a young age, which she continued through college. After college she joined the corporate world of international sales/training, eventually starting a family. Being pregnant in a highly stressful environment led Michelle to her first group yoga (pre-natal) classes, and she has been exploring yoga ever since.
Finding Ashtanga, Yoga East, and Kimberly Dahlmann became a reflection point for Michelle- one that steered her full circle, back to the very seeds her parents had planted so long ago. Michelle completed her 200 hour teacher training with Kimberly in 2016. Michelle feels very fortunate and honored to study under Kimberly's guidance, knowledge, devotion, and experience. Each teacher at Yoga East has been an inspiration for Michelle. She has also had the opportunity to study under Eddie Modestini as well as Nicki Doane. In addition to her Ashtanga practice, Michelle enjoys Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, learning The Yoga Sutras, Meditation, Pilates, and being physically active. Michelle is grateful to all of the teachers and yogis who have walked this path before her, and who share the lineage and their love for yoga.
