The chair can be a powerful tool that grants access to gently supported, or deeper and dynamic variations of, familiar poses in our practice.
Using the chair can help us to find those hard to access muscles and a surprising range of motion with a little support. There are times when our regular practice may not be available to us due to an injury or we simply want to slow down and take a longer look at a particular posture. The chair can work equally well to ease the difficulty of a posture or make it more vigorous, both highly effective approaches. This workshop will provide you with the foundation to adapt this wonderful tool to your practice.
We will explore sun salutes, selected standing and seated poses, backbends, and inversions, all assisted by the chair.

This workshop is designed for all levels of students. It is not intended to replace regular Ashtanga yoga practice but rather provide supplements to it, more yoga vitamins!
